Yesterday I released my first photography book. It’s weird that it finally happened. I’m extremely grateful for everyone who has allowed me to photograph them at a party.
Sometimes it’s the most uncomfortable thing to have happen to you, but I’m trying to turn nightlife photography into something more intimate and special than having a camera shoved into your face while you’re dancing or in a conversation. I want to give every person their own portrait, not just a photo for a club’s website to prove that people hang out there.
These are photos of the outrageous, beautiful, and insane party-goers (mostly my friends) of New York City nightlife. It’s available in hardcover, which is a bit pricey (it’s a long book), and softcover for a more affordable price.

"American Nights" is a photography book that takes a closer look at New York City nightlife, specifically the cult-like party "Magic Monday". The people between the pages tell their stores of fashion, music, art, happiness, sadness, love, and dedication. All photos in the book were taken by Ky DiGregorio between three New York City venues; Tammany Hall, Ludlow Manor, and St Jerome.
